My daughter is a football cheerleader this year. It is amazing to me how much hard work and dedication their sports have taken. It is just so much for little people and I am so proud of them both! She is practicing hard and gearing up for her competition in the coming week!
I have a million things to blog about but none more exciting (to me) than this!!
My son is playing football. I told ya I had lots to blog about! Anyway his team is awesome with an 8-1 record and they made it into playoffs. The first playoff game was such a hard fought game and was tied 6-6 for a long time. Lots of flags and penalties and just a tough game. We are down to about a minute and a half to go and it looked like overtime. And honestly it didn’t look like we might pull it off even in overtime. Which is fine by me….hey we kicked butt in regular season and I think it is huge to just MAKE it to playoffs!! But anyway…the other teams quarterback passes the ball, a kid on our team hits him, the pass falls short, my son intercepts, runs the ball and scores THE WINNING TOUCHDOWN FOR THE GAME!!!!!
AWESOMENESS or what!! I went crazy, the crowd went crazy!! Talk about a hero!!! Man was he ever!!!! Here is a little video posted on the website of his catch and run…..I have never been so proud!! What an awesome moment for my lil guy!!!!
He normally plays defensive tackle and has wanted a chance to run the ball all season! Way to get in there baby and show your stuff!!!!
It is no secret that I am behind on my blog, like really, way far behind. Which is why I have the “blogging blues”. I am not behind because I have nothing cool to blog about. I am behind because I have NO time to blog! Anyone wanna donate a couple hours from their day to me?? Anyone?
I am going to try to do a rundown of posts of all the awesomeness that is my life over the next few days. From renovations to my son’s fabulous football career and my daughters cheerleading!!
But seriously, how do working mother’s with three kids who are in sports every day of the week, find time to blog, run their home and maintain their families….cos I just can’t squeeze the blog into it all! But I am certainly gonna try a a little harder!!
Ten years ago God blessed my life in more ways than I could have ever imagined when he brought you into this world and into my life. He knew just what I needed when he made me your Mommy. I am blessed beyond measure that he has given me such a beautiful gift. I am thankful for everyday of my life with you. You bring me happiness and joy in a way I never knew possible.
I think back to the very beginning of our life together and I know I never would have made it through some of life’s struggles without you by my side. Watching you grow is amazing. From the first days when you were so helpless and needed me for everything to now when you are so big and strong but still need me in a different sort of way.
You have taught me so many things. You taught me to never give up. Keep going no matter how tough the road ahead seems. You taught me patience. Kindness. You taught me to open my heart and love like I never even knew was possible.
Everyday with you is a complete joy. Everyday I learn something from you. I am so proud of you and the perfect little man you are growing to be. Watching you grow is such a beautiful thing. You are so smart and determined. I love that you have so much of my personality. You are witty and silly. You are also kind and loving. I am so thankful for you…my son. Happy Birthday to my Boy!
